Strategic Plan

The Board of Trustees periodically updates our Strategic Plan to focus RAPTOR Inc.’s continued growth and guide the organization’s activities toward our vision of being the premier bird of prey conservation organization in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. The plan describes an ambitious series of goals for the next 3-5 years in four core areas: Rehabilitation, Education, Research, and DevelopmentThe actual document can be viewed HERE.

Rehabiliation and Animal Welfare:

our goal is to provide the highest welfare standards to resident birds and birds admitted for rehabiliation.

  • Expand and enhance our rehab facilities to meet the needs of the organization by increasing staff and professional development opportunities, and acquiring necessary technology and equipment.
  • Advance our animal welfare procedures through projects like providing a comprehensive enrichment program, developing a re-nesting team, and recruiting more veterinarians.

  • Engage in research to increase our knowledge of raptor biology, disease processes, and treatment protocols, and increase our field research contributions by monitoring local nesting populations and banding birds.
  • Expand professional development opportunities so we may expand our participation in research projects.
