RAPTOR Inc. is governed by an eleven-member Board of Trustees, with daily operations conducted by Executive Director, Steve Wesselkamper; Director of Rehabilitation, Shannon Frantz; Director of Education, Will Schaust; and Director of Program Administration, Alice McCaleb.
RAPTOR Inc. is a volunteer-driven organization. More than 100 volunteers dedicate their time and talents to the mission of the organization.
Steve Wesselkamper joined RAPTOR Inc. as Executive Director in 2024. Previously, he served as Director of Development and Marketing for Hearing Speech + Deaf Center after a career in financial and investment services at Key Corp, its Victory Capital Management, and other affiliates and predecessors.
Shannon Frantz became RAPTOR Inc.’s Director of Rehabilitation in 2025, following more than a decade as a veterinary and surgical assistant at Acute Urgent Pet Care and MedVet Medical and Cancer Center for Pets.
Will Schaust joined RAPTOR Inc. as Director of Education in 2025, bringing more than a decade of experience as an interpretive naturalist. He relocated from Indiana, where he most recently managed the Eagle Creek Ornithology Center in Indianapolis.
Alice McCaleb joined RAPTOR Inc. as Director of Program Administration in 2026, coming from the Newport Aquarium, where she was the Animal Handling and Program Specialist. She has been a RAPTOR Inc. volunteer for more than 15 years, contributing across all areas of the organization. Prior to joining RAPTOR's staff, Alice had served on the RAPTOR Inc. board for over a decade.
